• portland II

  The Alert Program conference was very interesting today and the weather here is beautiful.  It’s very easy to get around in Portland using the light rail system.  Free!  I had the luck to meet up for lunch with my Portland friend Adina and her darling two year old daughter.  It’s funny to have online friends that you feel connected to but so rarely meet in person.  I remember following Adina’s prolonged attempts to get pregnant — running down the stairs each morning to check her temperature chart as she posted each day.  What a thrill to see this adorable child walking and talking and being generally wonderful.  It was a quick meet-up during my break, so I didn’t even get a picture or anything!  Drats.

  My husband is here, we had a lovely dinner, and now we are going to spend some quality time together.
