8:45 PM: Trying to focus on report cards. I have quite a few to go. I love to write about the kids, really I do. And I love to write. But it takes being in a certain groove and I am not currently in that groove. The groove requires tasty snacks, repetitive background music and husband not laughing loudly playing video games. I have to force myself to find my groove because report card first drafts were due last week and I was sick.
I think I will write Eli’s report card now; that should be amusing. Is it bad form if I just give him “Excellent” for everything? Except, y’know, listening to his mother the teacher. Also, his haircut. I mean, it’s kind of cute, he looks like Prince Valiant with red hair. But y’know. Looking like Prince Valiant with red hair may not be 100% in the desirable catagory.
Scott had an unfortunate incident today with escaping stick bugs and an open door and a cold breeze. Sadly, the stick bug habitat is no more. However, looking up on the ceiling I believe I see one that has survived. Should we return it to the empty terrarium?

Did Scott really have an unfotunate incident or was it more a planned out type of thing?
@intensity_too - Yes, it was an accident. He was refreshing the terrarium and they started escaping en masse. He opened the door to the porch and set the whole table outside to stem the tide of their dispersal into the house and they died instantly from the cold. Scott was very upset about it; he loves those little guys.
